Over the past couple of weekends, we've had more time together than usual, and we've been making the best of it. As Jen mentioned on her blog, last Saturday we went to "It's All About Goats" at the Ellington Agricultural Center. She just LOVES goats. We had the chance to meet Michael, Greta, Adam and Tara out there too. Goats bringing the family together...
Afterward we took a stroll through the barn and saw the horses that Metro Police ride on being tended too. Then we took a stroll through an Agricultural museum they have on property, which had some pretty flowers outside. They keep a small beehive inside and you can see the bees making honey. All this cool stuff in our "backyard" and I had no idea.
Sunday I saw The Dark Knight for a second time, and I could easily go see it for a third. Amazing movie. Wednesday, we met my folks for dinner at Pei Wei to celebrate my Mom's birthday and we gave her a box of Xoconochco chocolates. It was so hard to give them away, but I knew she would love it. Thursday, I used my superpowers to get a water bottle and Full Throttle can wedged inside a Coke machine at the mall. Sometimes I amaze myself. I also found a pillow at the Disney Store with a message that I'm sure everyone would agree on. I almost bought the pillow myself. I don't know who the photo of the curly-haired girl is on it though.
Speaking of High School Musicals (awww.... I gave away that I knew who that was) I got inundated with emails from old High School classmates as we ready for our 20th reunion. It's funny... everyone's reconnecting on Facebook (how 21st century of us) and it's really cool to see what everyone's up to!
Finally, I got up WAAAYY early on Saturday and made my way down to the Apple Store and finally was able to get Jen an iPhone 3G! The mall was even crazier than usual because of "Tax-Free Weekend" here in Tennessee (which included computers), but I got my claim check for the iPhone shortly after the store opened. About an hour later, I walked out of the store with Jen's new phone. I raced home and BARELY caught her before she left for work. She had kind of figured it out when she turned on her phone and it said the SIM card was no longer active, but that was okay. She was still happy!
Next weekend should be even more fun as they are starting to break ground on our house. We've avoided going over there for almost a month, so I'm excited to see the progress. But that's for another post.
Enjoy the pictures!
